I am terribly afraid

For a long time to come, this will be the last communication 

Poor dear Ernst

How long before i will recieve mail again?

I ache in my stomach

Ernst wrote almost daily

My eyes hurt as if i had been looking too long into a strong light

That was a true farewell letter
